Alcorn Guest House Dundee is located within a 10 minute walk from Dundee city centre. We are ideally situated for both of the Universities in Dundee and Ninewells Hospital. We have been operating as a guest house for over 18 years.

We have double, twin and family rooms with en-suite. Also have a ground floor bedroom for guests who have mobility difficulties. All bedrooms have televisions and complimentary beverages. Conveniently situated for public transport.

Breakfast is served bewteen 7:30am - 9am.

Continental Breakfast:
Juice, selection of cereals (corn flakes, muesli, weetabix), tea/coffee, toast, butter/flora margarine, jam and fruits.

Cooked Breakfast:
In addtion to the above you can also have a cooked breakfast which includes bacon, suasages, eggs, hash browns and baked beans.

Please specify the time you want to have breakfast and your choice of breakfast.

Check out time:
Rooms should be vacated by 10.30am. Because of high demand a charge for the day in question would have to be levied if this request cannot be met.

Tariffs:
Single Room: £25.00 - £30.00 per person per night
Twin Room: £20.00 - £25.00 per person per night
Family En Suite: £20.00 - £25.00 per person per night

Dundee has plenty to offer from The Discovery Point which is where the famous RRS Discovery is kept. Captain Scott led the Discovery to the Antarctic on a world famous voyage in 1901.

Dundee is also renowned for its entertainment. The Whitehall Theatre and The Caird Hall have regular events on every month of the year. The Dundee Rep Theatre is also a very popular attraction for visitors as well as locals. The shows are always of the highest quality and change regularly. The nightlife in Dundee is bulging with variety. There are different areas of the town for different tastes. Perth Road is jam packed with bars and clubs.

The Dundee contemporary Arts Centre is one of the most popular as it is modern, stylish and right in the centre of the city. The DCA is an internationally renowned centre for contemporary arts, an award winning leader in the field of education, and a vibrant and hugely popular social and cultural meeting place. It has 2 Cinemas, 5 Floor Galleries and the trendy Cafe Bar.

The Verdant Works are another major attraction in Dundee. If you want to learn about the history and culture of Dundee, this is place to visit. Discover why Dundee was once the world centre for the manufacture of jute and why the industry fell into decline.

Verdant Works, a restored 19th century jute mill, takes you on a tour of the trade, from its beginnings in India to the end product in all its myriad forms, and allows you to experience at first hand what life was like for workers in the mill.
